Display Customization

Introduction

TitleFactory provides several ways to customize the display to match the users work flow. Included customizations include:

Toolbar and Button Displays

Toolbars can be customized using the Customize Toolbar window which is accessed via the View Menu.  Checking on a group checkbox will display the group.  Checking the individual buttons will display those buttons within the group.

Hovering the mouse over a button provides the name of the button.

Multiple Document Interface (MDI)

TitleFactory provides an MDI style interface.  The Main Window displays Subtitle, Timecode, Timeline, Media, and Combo function sub windows.  Each of the sub windows can be minimized, removed, or expanded.  Arrangement of sub windows can be automatic or user controlled via the View>Arrange or View>Auto Arrange menu items.

Detaching Media Sub Window

The Media sub window can be detached from the Main Window by the View>Detach Media window function.  The Media window is only used for video displays so a video file must be associated with the project prior to detaching it.

Timeline Window Customization

Waveform Display

Waveform display options are included on the Waveform tab of the Project Settings Window.  For spot timing and creating of timecodes one can display the waveform of a media file.  The waveform is displayed within the timeline.  Height and amplitude factors can be manipulated manually to increase the size of the waveform display.

Detaching the Timeline

the Timeline can be detach from the Main Window by the View>Detach Timeline menu function.  This allows the timeline to be positioned with a detached Media window.

Timecode Display Format

The Timecode display in the Timecode Sub Window can be displayed in several different formats including

The following shows an alternate view of the sub windows with the timecodes displayed in SubRip SRT timecode format.

The format can be toggled by right-clicking on the Timecode Sub Window and selecting the Toggle Display menu item.

Subtitle Display Format

Subtitle displays can be displayed in a format defined in the Display tab in the Preferences window.  Additionally the format can be toggled between the aforementioned format to the font and background identified in the subtitle's Style definition.  The toggling is accomplished by right-clicking on the Subtitle window and selecting the Toggle display button.

Display Headings

Headings on both the Timecode and Subtitle windows can be displayed or removed selecting View>Display Headers.  Removing the headers provides more space for timecode and subtitle information.

Themes

Themes change the colors of the TitleFactory windows.  This can be set using the Preferences Theme tab.
