Introduction

TitleFactory will greatly increase your productivity and reduce the amount of time to add subtitles or captions to you video or DVD product.

TitleFactory serves several major functions required for DVD production even though all of these functions may not be required for everyone.

TitleFactory Parses Scripts

Create thousands of subtitles from a script of your video project in minutes.  Highly configurable script preprocessing, processing options, and output image settings will create subtitles utilizing your artistic talents, relieving you of time consuming and boring tasks.

The Parsing of your input test is optional.  If your input is already parsed or in a timecoded format, then TitleFactory can read it as is.

TitleFactory Creates Subpicture Image Files

If you have ever created subtitle image files using your graphics software, you will know how truly time consuming and frustrating it can be.  A typical 90 minute film or video oftentimes requires around 1500-2500 subtitle images.  Creating these subtitles or captions manually would take many, many, many days and that is if you get it right the first time.  TitleFactory allows you to specify several settings, run the program, and view the results on one of two report styles.  You don't even need to create the images on the first several passes or you can tell TitleFactory to create a specific number of images for you to inspect.  If you do not like what you see, just redo the settings and do it again.  It is simple and fast.

Creating Subpicture images is optional.  Some DVD authoring packages do not need Subpicture images.  These packages create the subpictures themselves.

TitleFactory Creates Timecodes

DVD authoring programs require text files indicating subtitle file names along with the starting and ending timecode of each subtitle.  TitleFactory allows you to create the subtitle timecode files by viewing the text that was placed on your images by TitleFactory and listening to a wav file of you project at the same time.  Simple mouse clicks set the starting and ending timecodes. It is as simple as this:

Creating timecodes is optional.  If your input file already has timecoded information then TitleFactory will read those timecodes and use them to create a subtitle text file.

TitleFactory allows the user to to stop, resume, and provides lots of ways for you to adjust, update, or overlay timecodes that you have already recorded.  Create your timecode text files in the same amount of time it takes to play your project.
